

Amy Tan is the author of "The Joy Luck Club"; it translated in 35 languages. In 1993 the book adapted into a commercially successful film. Her essays and stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies. She lives with her husband in New York ans San Francisco.
The Joy Luck Club is about the second generation of Chinese women and their mothers, and the relationship between them. More over, they have to deal with own culture(Chinese) and traditional stuffs that they don't really used to do. Of course, there are a lot of things to disagree with, or misunderstand and have an problem with their mothers. Eventually, they all realize everything and appreciate for their Chinese culture.
